ABNA24 - Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Radan, the chief commander of Iranian police, says the law enforcement has been strictly and decisively dealing with evil and opportunist thieves, as well as, enemy mercenaries across the country.
In a television program on Monday, while appreciating the cooperation and accompaniment of the people in identifying anti-state agents and actors, Radan reported the incapacitating of dozens of burglars, who intended to take advantage of the situation to steal people's property.
Referring to the paid US-Israeli mercenaries, the police chief reiterated his pledge, saying internal evil forces would be dealt at par with the external enemies.
According to him, nearly 30 thieves, criminals, and those who wanted to take advantage of the current situation were neutralized by police gunfire over the past days.
Radan also announced decisive police actions in dealing with the people using virtual space to help the enemies, saying that half of over 500 detainees were found providing information, including pictures of targeted locations to the enemy.
Stating that the law enforcement agencies are active across the country in identifying and arresting anti-state elements with the cooperation of ordinary citizens, the police chief said there were 20 very important enemy cells, including a spy group that were dismantled in three provinces.
Thousands of police stations, patrols, and units have been added to the law enforcement system in order to deal with foreign agents and spies, he added.
